The relaxing, old-world Tuscan feel Tuscan Hills Winery provides is something you don’t encounter all the time in Central Illinois. As we are heading into the warmer months, an afternoon spent at the winery soaking in the gorgeous scenery and enjoying some wine is sure to please everyone. Located right here in Effingham at 2200 Historic Hills Drive, Tuscan Hills wants its guests to “Come as our guests, leave as our friends.”
Tuscan Hills, owned by Wes, Wanda and Amanda Pitcher, and Larry and Annette Jackson, focuses on offering exceptional quality wines. They offer wine tastings daily and host a number of meetings, parties and special events year round. They also feature live music every Friday night. All of Tuscan Hills’ current wines (white, reds and roses/blushes) are blends for added complexity and interest. The full range of wine styles and sweetness levels are covered, providing something for every guest.
On April 25th Tuscan Hills will be hosting its last Murder Mystery until the fall. The event is $45 per person and includes theater entertainment and a meal catered by the Thelma Keller Convention Center and Hotel. Please call the winery to reserve your spot at 217-347-WINE.
Another event at Tuscan Hills in the coming months is the Komentucky Derby on May 4th from 1 to 6 p.m. The event is a fundraiser for the St. Louis Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and features food and drinks, live music, a silent auction, raffles and much more. A minimum donation of $50 per person to Susan G. Komen’s Race for the Cure will include admission to the event, food and two beverage tickets.
