The weekend is here bringing live musical performances from all over to local venues for all to enjoy. Larry, Dirk & Myles combine old and new influences of rock, blues and bluegrass for a special performance tonight at Gabby Goat from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. Village Wine & Gifts will host a performance by Allie Keck at 7 p.m. tonight and Keeping Simple will be performing at Tuscan Hills Winery from 8 to 11 p.m. With a unique blend of rock, country and soul music, The Mighty Short Bus always offers an entertaining performance, so head over to the Orchard Inn tonight to check it out. The Effingham County Fair will also have live musical performances tonight beginning with “I’m All About That” country singer Chris Cavanaugh at 7 p.m. at the grandstand. Randy Houser, ACM and CMA nominee and songwriter for such artists as Trace Adkins and Justin Moore, will follow at 8 p.m.
Tomorrow is packed full of live performances as well! Benny & the Amigos will be performing at the Watson Civic Center from 7 to 10 p.m. with a $3 cover charge. The Saint Anthony Picnic begins tomorrow, hosting performances by Good Wood with Ted Grunloh, Larry Poss and Larry, Dirk & Myles from 8 to 11:30 p.m. in the beer tent. Head back over to the Effingham County Fairgrounds in Altamont for a “rockabilly with attitude” show filled with original and cover songs by Slant Six at the free stage from 7 to 9 p.m.
