Sheriff’s Posse Ride & Blessing of the Bikes

Rain or shine, join in on the annual Effingham County Sheriff’s Posse Ride and Blessing of the Bikes supporting Effingham Habitat for Humanity tomorrow morning! Registration will take place at Legacy Harley Davidson from 10:00-11:45 a.m., and the cost is $10 per person. Blessing of the Bikes will begin at 11:30 a.m., and a mandatory rider/driver meeting will take place at 11:45 a.m.

The ride will leave from Legacy at noon and end at the Effingham Performance Center. Enjoy free coffee and donuts while they last! A meal will be included. Participants will receive shirts and have to opportunity to enter a 50/50 raffle for a “glock,” Cardinals tickets, Grand Ole Opry tickets and more! This is a family friendly, non-alcoholic event that is open to all legal street bikes and vehicles.

Effingham County Sheriff Ron Meek started the Effingham County Sheriff’s Posse Ride in 1999 as a means to help the community and continued it as an annual event to raise money for local charities that do not receive funds from a government agency or grants. When John Monnet took office as the Effingham County Sheriff, he carried on the annual event, and a different charity is chosen every year to be the beneficiary of the ride.

So come out to enjoy some great company, have a fun ride and support a wonderful charity!
