4th of July Activities

Effingham is bustling with activities this Independence Day!

Lake Sara will host their annual fireworks display on July 3rd at dusk. Whether you watch from a boat or a backyard, it’s sure to be a good time for all.

Then, start off the 4th with the kiddos at Ballard Nature Center for scavenger hunts, history and self-guided games. Come anytime between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for some daytime fun.

Head over to The Hall, formerly Knights of Columbus Hall, for their annual 4th of July Parking Lot Party! It’s the perfect place to celebrate the holiday and watch the fireworks. Join them at 3 p.m. for good food and cold drinks. Live music with no cover charge starts at 5 p.m. with Old Crows Young Cardinals, followed by Matt Poss Band at 8 p.m.

Fireworks, sponsored by Effingham Noon Rotary, will take place at 9 p.m. at the Effingham High School Sports Complex. Don’t miss it!

Have a fun and safe 4th!
